TRAVELTully, is about 148 km south of Cairns. Take the bus from either Cairns or Townsville and you will arrive in Tully in around 2 hours.
WORK Banana barracks is a working hostel that will set you up with a suitable job as soon as possible and it is all hourly paid. Transport to and from farms is provided.

Built in 1998, Banana Barracks is one of the few hostels in Australia that can provide farm work for working holiday makers all year round.
The warmer months are generally our busiest months, but along with bananas, we can also offer seasonal work on sugar cane, papaya, watermelon and pumpkin farms at various times throughout the year.
Banana Barracks is centrally located in the main township of Tully, only minutes walking distance from the bus stop, banks, Post Office, local hotels & Supermarkets.

As Tully is slightly remote, most of our guests fly to Cairns or Townsville and catch a bus/coach to Tully. 4 service arrive on a daily basis.
